Intersection of Milford & Hornbine Roads in Swansea
On June 29, 1675, native Indians killed 7 settlers and beheaded them, marking the beginning of the 15 month King Philip War.  The severed heads were found the next day along the banks of the Kickemuit River on what is now School House Road. 

In modern times, several reputable sources have reported seeing disembodied heads here at night, with the heads either floating above the ground or on poles in this exact same spot, a very disconcerting sight.
