According to the lawsuit, which references a classified defense analysis cited in response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the Freedom of Press Foundation, four the detainees received "travel document." None had a visa to travel and their visas were revoked by U.S. authorities. The lawsuit claims officials "knowingly fabricated the travel documents" with intention of leaving Guantanamo within a day, "but was forced to remain in detention by the U.S. government's 'administrative detention' policy, which permitted them no means to leave the Naval Station," a facility "without any official authorization and which was under the absolute control of Defendants." The first three men were placed in cells the Camp 5, where "detention facility was located along the southern edge of Naval Station." The fourth man, Faisal Al Qahtani "was placed in Camp 16, at the northern end of Naval Station, where camp officials provided him with a fake travel document that enabled Defendants to convince Faisal travel an unknown location in order to avoid the imminent execution and imprisonment process." The suit claims Faisal, who "fled" in April 2003, "was subsequently subjected to further torture and mistreatment by Defendants and/or their agents." Faisal's "case, however, ended on a very different note," according to the suit.
